As residents of a fire-prone area it is important that we acknowledge the dangers that exist around us and take the appropriate actions to protect ourselves and our communities BEFORE a wildfire starts.
In an effort to help Chelan County residents prepare for wildfires, the Cascadia Conservation District has taken a lead role in the development of both individual community and county-wide wildfire protection plans. We also participate in wildfire education & outreach efforts including community workshops, the Volunteer FireWise Assessment Corps and the 4 Steps to FireWise.
